Little River Farm is a small family-run farm on nine acres at 360 Mine Hill Road in Fairfield's Greenfield Hill neighborhood, owned by Felix and Olivia Charney since 2014. It grows 21 ground crops, including beans, blueberries, broccoli, cabbage, carrots, corn, cucumbers, garlic, kale, flowers, lettuce, onions, peas, peppers, potatoes, pumpkins, spinach, strawberries, squash, tomatoes and watermelon, along with 250 apple trees and pear and peach trees, and keeps about 200 laying hens. Fresh eggs are available daily at the on-site farm stand from 8am to 5pm, with produce sold in season there and at area farmers' markets and local stores.
